What do you need besides the pointe shoes themselves?
Usually toe protection, ribbon and elastic to hold the shoe to the foot, and rosin for grip. Some dancers also use tape or gel on pressure points. What exactly you need depends on your foot and your level, so have it looked at together in the shop when you get your first pair.
Which toe protection suits me?
